What stays on the device
The workspace stores meetings locally. Transcription and speaker separation run on the device for those features. Speaker samples and voice features are local. An engine may need an initial model download before it can process audio offline. The bundled Help needs no model download or internet access.
What an external service receives
When you choose an external AI provider and authorize a task, the selected transcript, comments and reference content within that task's disclosed scope can be sent to it. Your API key authenticates with the provider separately; it is not part of the meeting text. Review the provider's settings and privacy terms. External services may charge for usage.
Apple Intelligence text analysis is local when its device, system, language and model conditions are satisfied. Availability is shown in Settings.
Free and Pro
Notera Free is for personal use under the app's displayed license terms. Notera Pro Business License is a one-time commercial-use upgrade, not a subscription. It also permits hiding Notera branding in PDF footers. The license does not include external AI credits or fees.
Open the license section in Settings to see the current status, purchase or restore a purchase. Price is provided by the App Store for your account and region. Pending transactions, refunds or unavailable products can affect the displayed status; follow the message in the app.
Across devices and platforms
Each installation keeps its own local workspace. Using the same product identity does not automatically synchronize meetings, recordings, settings or API keys. Keep backups appropriate to your device and retain exported documents when needed.
Permissions and sharing
Microphone, system capture on Mac and optional location are separate permissions. Record and share only material you are entitled to use. Before exporting, review the selected chapters, comments and reference content, because these can reveal more than the report's headline.
